What if Clinton stuck to the usual issues and attacking the Gingrich Congress? Does that flip and/or change the margins in any states?

FL is closer, states like VA go more strongly for Dole, while AZ goes to Dole.

So no triangulation? The Republicans probably nominate a more serious candidate in 1996 and Clinton takes a hit in the suburbs and the South.

I actually think Clinton might do slightly better in the south ITTL since presumably “Soccer mom issues” includes his anti-tobacco stance which arguably cost him North Carolina.
