What happens to evil people after they die?

If there is a life after death, I can't see a good solution to this conundrum.

Should they just cease to exist?

Should they have to suffer forever?

If everyone is saved, will they somehow miraculously become good or should they spend some time in purgatory to heal from their evil?

If there is no life after death for anyone the answer is simple.

If there is a life after death perhaps reincarnation makes sense, because it would give evil people enough lives to gradually change their evil ways.

Personally, I don't like the idea of reincarnation, because I don't want to go through life's sufferings indefinitely.

I wonder if anyone at atlas can find a good solution to this conundrum.

Ultimate we just all die. Death doesn't care how you've lived. I like reincarnation as a concept if there is anything 'after' because as a humanist I don't see life as suffering in itself if t educates the 'soul'

Think I've pointed out before that reincarnation in most of Eastern thought is a problem not a solution, precisely for OP's reason.  

This is why I'm rather accepting of the inevitability of death, at least in my calmer moments. Eternal anything seems kind of cosmically horrible in its own way.

Just like there are no "liars," only people who have told lies? And there are no "thieves," only people who have stolen things?

If a person has done evil things (and I mean truly evil—far worse than telling lies and stealing things), then I think it is safe to say they are an evil person, even if they have otherwise redeeming qualities.
