The Republicans, but the Dems are nowhere close to anti-authoritarian. Each will bow down to the watchful eye of Big Brother where it suits them (or hurts the other side).

both of them are, but that's because the American voter has become that way.  Every asshole one of them thinks they know what's best for everyone else and thinks state violence is the best way to protect us from ourselves.  Yes, of course that's stupid, but so is voting for the one of the same two corrupt political parties over and over like a crazy person.

Which all of course is dumb, but they also don't suck the dick of the police like the Republicans do. Democrats want masks in schools but Republicans have always been the drive behind banning books and other content from being taught in schools. They're almost always the ones pushing for tougher criminal penalties, still opposing marijuana legalization and drugs in general, and what remains of Christian theocracy.

They're both authoritarian but just on different issues.

Both pursue some authoritarian policies, but the Republican Party is more structurally authoritarian in its philosophy of how governance should work and whether or not people outside of it have a right to be represented in the political process. There's some of that type of thinking among muh white wokesters too, of course, but it's not even close to hegemonic within the Democratic Party the way the right-wing equivalent is within the GOP.

One of the most detrimental rules of politics is that the American populace doesn't usually get called out for its role in electing bad politicians. If keeping their job requires pandering to reckless knuckledraggers, who's going to confront the American public for their bad choices?

We get the government we deserve.

In all honesty, they both are authoritarian but the GOP is authoritarian on more mundane and private issues the government really has no business interfering with. The Democrats are authoritarian on masks (because there's a pandemic and masks save lives) and guns (because America is suffering from a gun violence epedimic and is one of the worst countries compared with most European ones in terms of gun violence). The GOP is authoritarian on abortion (which can be justified if one considers abortion murder - which it is, in some ways) and LGBT rights. The latter is completely random. I personally am opposed to transgender rights (though I support same-sex marriage and transgenders serving in the military), but I find it hypocritic that the party railing against big government intruding on people's lives is the one that thinks the government should disallow people who love each other from marrying because they (and the fanatic religious right) find problem with it.

The Romney-Clinton wing of whatever party they currently belong to, since they tend to be both pro-Patriot Act and pro-lockdown. Establishment types of both parties are pretty similar (although on different issues) and there's libertarians in both parties, although I'd say the Dems are a bit more authoritarian as a whole.

At the moment Republicans, it'll be tied pretty soon when the boomer liberals die off and AOC wokesters take over the party.

This question might as well be "Are you a Democrat or a Republican?".
