Arsenal lose to Sporting CP on penalties 1-1 (3-3 aggregate) [5-3], go out of the Europa League at the Round of 16. 🤬🤬🤬

We got a Premier League title to win.

Champions League Draw is out.

The final is basically a lock to be some combination of Real Madrid/Bayern Munich/Chelsea/Manchester City vs an Italian side.

It was quite a shocker. Even Porto is able to win against Sporting. Wink

Benfica is so lucky, so far, that it's completely infuriating. Angry Angry

Europa League quarterfinals draw is in.

Decent chance that Manchester United's run ends here against Sevilla, but Juventus and Roma should both be favored, as should Bayer Leverkusen.

I think Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Napoli and Inter make it to the Champions League semifinals while Manchester United, Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen and Roma I think will make the Europa League semifinals.

Those are my predictions.

Arsenal go 8 up on Manchester City in the Premier League with a 4-1 win over Crystal Palace. Bukayo Saka scored a brace and had an assist.

Thomas Partey was moved to RB when Ben White came off.

Arsenal are up 8, but Man City have a game in hand.

Bayern Munich fall behind Dortmund in the title race... definitely missing Lewandowski but there wasn't much they could do about him leaving. Still, they are massively underperforming for such a stupidly talented team.

With Barcelona's 2-1 victory in the El Clasico match today, their lead over Real Madrid in La Liga is now at twelve points after twenty-six matches.

Unless Real Madrid pulls off a miracle, Barcelona will be the La Liga Champions...but I would say of the teams remaining in the Champions League, Real Madrid are the favorites.

Oh absolutely

Honestly I think the last Bundesliga team that was as talented as the Bayern Munich team of the time was Bayer Leverkusen in the early 2000s (and they were massive underachievers, never won anything. They were arguably even more talented than early 2000s Bayern).

But after that team broke up in 2002, Bayern shouldn't have had any serious competitors, and other teams only won when Bayern underperformed.

Bayern Munich has sacked Julian Nagelsmann.

Barring something going wrong in contract negotiations, it looks like Thomas Tuchel will be Nagelsmann's replacement.

Given how well Tuchel did at Chelsea, this is an amazing hire...but on the other hand, he really underperformed at PSG, especially with the roster he had.

"Really underperformed" = won the league in both seasons and made it to the finals of the Champions League for the first time in club history, losing 1-0 to Bayern Munich, who had an even more frightening squad? Sounds like a pretty good job to me.

Tell that to the ownership at PSG. I'm sure they'd love to hear it.

Tuchel was not sacked because of poor results, he was sacked because he fell out with Leonardo and the owners. Again, proving you know literally nothing and just put random words together.

I think Tuchel's a fantastic hire for Bayern Munich, and definitely an upgrade on Nagelsmann

CONCACAF Nations League play has begun, and the USA destroys Grenada 7-1.

Not much to note for this, though I'm mildly surprised, given all of the drama surrounding him right now, that Giovanni Reyna was named to the team at all.

If I were interim Head Coach Anthony Hudson, I certainly wouldn't have called him up (especially since we really don't need him to destroy Grenada and El Salvador, and calling him up would reward his father, Claudio for basically meddling U.S National Team affairs that aren't his business, which is part of the reason Greg Berhalter is out of a job right now.).

The U.S beat El Salvador yesterday, 1-0 to officially advance to advance to the finals of the CONCACAF Nations League.

Next up is a friendly, and a huge rivalry game with Mexico on April 19.

Brendan Rogers becomes the tenth manager sacked in the English Premier League this season, getting canned as Leicester City drops into the relegation zone with ten matches to play.

This is a new record for the English Premier League (and it doesn't even include Graham Potter leaving to take over at Chelsea, which would make eleven managerial changes this season). It's still plausible that Potter, at the minimum, could be sacked before the season ends.

Welcome back to the Premier League, Burnley. They got that task done with a 2-1 win over Middlesbrough in the Championship (England's 2nd division).

1 spot down, 2 to go for the 2023-24 PL campaign.

Sheffield United is all but likely to be the 2nd automatic promoted team.

The battle will be for the 3rd and final promotion spot, which will be sorted out in the playoffs between the teams placed 3rd-6th.

Beautiful Porto win against Benfica at Luz Stadium, 1-2:

Probably not enough for Porto to win the championship, as there is a 7-point difference between Benfica (71) and Porto (64). But, still, amazing match and result.
