Chelsea's nightmare season continues, this time with a 2-1 loss to Fulham. On top of that, their big loan signing that they brought in to bolster their attack, Joao Felix (from Atletico Madrid), got a red card in his debut.

How is Lecce absolutely destroying Milan in every facet of the game? They look shook after completely caving to a Roma squad that hasn't shown any fight until just now.

I booked Matchday 36 at season start, but at this rate, Napoli could realistically win with the league with 4-8 games to spare, barring injury. Going to have to find another game. Return trip to Allianz? 👀

Yes, this is probably an overreaction, but when you put up five on the best defense, I think I've earned the right to overreact.

Arsenal is currently five points clear of Manchester City heading into their North London Derby clash against Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow, with a chance to go even higher depending on next week's results (Arsenal against Manchester United, Manchester City against Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers).

Arsenal have a chance to up 6 or 8 on Manchester City later today, should they either draw or win against Tottenham.

Midweek, both Manchester City and Manchester United have a chance to chip away at Arsenal's advantage.

Great hire by Salernitana to nab Davide Nicola as their new coach. He has quite the recent history of being a mid-January hire to resurrect a club from certain relegation to Serie B (Salernitana 2021-22) or just staving off a close relegation race in the final match of the season that was totally his own doing (also in Genoa 2020-21)  - both of which will aptly apply this season.

Juventus gets handed a 15-point deduction that sees them dropping from 3rd to 10th/11th in Serie A.

Honestly, how is deliberately falsifying your accounts not grounds for automatic relegation? Juventus got off really lightly here.

Arsenal defeats Manchester United 3-2, Manchester City defeats Wolverhampton Wanderers, 3-0.

Arsenal currently five points up heading into their massive clash against Manchester City at the Eithad, with the London based return fixture being a couple of weeks later on February 15.

Arsenal and Napoli both on 50 points halfway through their seasons and there's more daylight between first and second in England than there is between first and fourth in Germany...

Arsenal lost to Manchester City in the FA Cup Sad

But Arsenal are having their best league season in many years, so I'm happy with that Smiley

Good news for Arsenal: Tottenham beat Manchester City 1-nil, as Harry Kane scored his 200th Premier League goal.

Manchester City cannot take advantage of Arsenal's slip-up, thus the Arsenal lead stays 5 points.

With Barcelona's 3-0 win over Sevilla at Camp Nou, and Real Madrid's 1-0 loss to Mallorca in Mallorca, Barcelona's La Liga lead stands at eight points.

Real Madrid now enters the Club World Cup, where they will face Al-Ahly, the CAF Champions in the semifinals, and they are still alive to defend their Champions League title, facing Liverpool in the round of 16. Their next three La Liga matches are vs Elche, @ Osasuna and a very important (for both teams), Madrileno Derby against Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona will soon enter the Europa League, a title they must win if they realistically want to sign anyone (or extend players like Gavi) next season, and they drew one of the most difficult remaining opponents in Manchester United.

They do have a great chance to extend their La Liga lead further, however, with their next three opponents being @ Villareal, vs Cadiz, @ Almeria.

Jesse Marsch out at Leeds United.

With Greg Berhalter's future as manager of the U.S National Team in question (to be generous to Berhalter), could Marsch's new availability make him the new manager of the U.S National Team?

Jesse Marsch is young and a pretty ambitious guy. It's hard to see him taking the USA job unless he cannot find a decent club job, which admittedly might be the case.

Valencia's job is currently available if Marsch wants to try his luck in La Liga. That might be the best he can get at this point though.
