Honey vs. Maple syrup

Easily honey for me, though I wonder whether Americans and Canadians have a different preference (especially compared to Europeans). Honey is actually my favorite sweet spreads on bread.

Maple syrup. Since I can remember, honey is one of the things that'll quickly make me nauseous, while I actually enjoy maple syrup, even if it's not as widespread in Europe as honey.

As mentioned above, it depends on what it's being used for. I enjoy both, but there aren't many foods where the two are interchangeable. For something like oatmeal where either works, I definitely prefer maple syrup.

I had coffee with maple syrup at my friend's house a month and a half ago because for some reason it was the only sweetener available in that moment. I would not particularly recommend.
