I choose Options #1, #9, and #11 very confidently.

Regarding the differences between the Public Option and Single-Payer proposals, while I'm somewhat conflicted I lean slightly to single-payer, which is why I also chose Options #6 and #13.

Hopefully there's some debate here.

I don't mind #5 or #6, as long as people who can afford better healthcare have an option to do so. That's why #6 might take it too far, because it would pretty much shut down the healthcare industry. #5 might be pretty reasonable, as long as, again, there's an opt-out option: all taxpayers are funding the single-payer system, but if anyone can afford better healthcare and wants it, then they should be allowed to. The current system (#4) isn't that bad as well, although some reform wouldn't hurt. In all honesty, decent healthcare should be a right of the people, like it is in a lot of other countries. But I kind of compare it to education - there should be a free, decent form of it funded by the government (government healthcare; public schools), but anyone who can afford to should still be allowed to take a better option, with their own money (privatized healthcare/insurance; private schools). That option - for wealthier people to buy themselves a better option - should definitely be maintained, though everyone should be given the option of free, half-decent healthcare that they help fund through their taxes.

Yes, our healthcare system is clearly in need of reform.

Public option >>> Single-payer >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Current system

Well even in places like Britain which has a much more socialized system private care is still a thing. Honestly I lean more towards whatever the Canadians do.
