Republicans are pretending to care about these soldiers for political gain and the memories of what brought us to this point are not forgotten. If this is a "stain" on Biden's legacy, I think that's pretty good.

The pendulum is not on your side, neocons.

Would you say that you think Biden's foreign policy long term will prove more popular and pave over the backlash happening now?

I predict that in the short term it will prove more popular because Americans are tired of endless war. The only viable alternative to what happened was continued occupation. A week of gaslighting and denial of pro-withdrawal speakers from the MSM won't put a dent in Biden. Trump nearly got reelected after four years of "orange man bad" and intentional misdoings.

Right but in the short term it's actually not popular so I'm not sure you're saying what you think you're saying

You suggested that it would be a stain on Biden's entire record. The typical cable news consumer forgets about these stories and moves on to the next thing the media wants you to be outraged or in fear of. By 2024, Biden will, assuming he runs again, be running as a president who ended a war and accomplished two things (withdrawal and the infrastructure package) his predecessor promised but couldn't deliver on.

COVID is the predominant issue on people's minds now, and where we are in 2022/2024 on that will have far more of an impact on swing voters (the few that still exist) than a messy withdrawal from a 20-year war.
