University of New Hampshire GOP primary “Granite State Poll”, conducted July 15-19:

https://scholars.unh.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1661&context=survey_center_polls

Trump 47%
DeSantis 19%
Haley 6%
Pence 5%
Noem 2%
Cruz 2%
Hawley, Cotton, Pompeo 0%

2nd choice:
DeSantis 39%
Trump 7%
Pence 6%
Cruz 6%
Noem 5%
Pompeo 4%
Cotton 4%
Haley 4%
Hawley 0%

So yes, while Trump is way ahead of DeSantis in 1st choices, DeSantis has higher combined 1st+2nd choice votes than Trump does, because he’s so popular as a 2nd choice.  Also, DeSantis has a better favorability margin than Trump does among Republicans…

fav/unfav % among Republicans:
DeSantis 69/5% for +64%
Trump 70/20% for +50%
Cotton 35/3% for +32%
Noem 33/5% for +28%
Cruz 50/22% for +28%
Haley 32/5% for +27%
Pompeo 27/11% for +16%
Hawley 20/6% for +14%
Pence 39/33% for +6%

No surprise there. Unless Trump dies before 2024, he will be the nominee.
