 If you look at the confirmation thread I said he was too conservative for the 90s let alone today and was also worried that his only real competency was covering up the Federal crimes of his administration. He even surpassed the low expectations I had for him.

Certainly so. He's been Director of the Center for Infectious Diseases for 36 years, and was a prominent figure during the AIDS epidemic in the 1980s. In fact, I watched an old PBS Frontline documentary from 2006 about AIDS, in which Dr. Fauci was among those interviewed. I believe he will be turning 80 in December.
