How would Puerto Rico vote in Presidential elections if it were a state? I'm nearly certain it would be Safe D but I've seen some leftists claim that PR would be Republican owing to the pro-statehood NPP being aligned with the GOP nationally.

I think it would start a Democratic state but gradually become a swing state over the next 20ish years.

Likely Democrat, but could potentially vote Republican in wave years (like Colorado, Minnesota, Virginia).
