The subway was apparently submerged at one point, and 12 casualties have been reported by state media. If you search 郑州地铁 on Twitter, you can find video footage of the chaos underground, but I'll warn that it's graphic and not for the faint of heart.
Still, floods in Germany and China, as well as wildfires across North America? This year is certainly giving 2020 a run for it's money.
