Tons, but the first one I remember is Mexico City 1968.

How did you feel about the US Boycott of the 1980 games

Mixed feelings.  I felt sorry for the athletes who worked so hard for their spots in the Olympics and then missed out, but I don't have a problem with the general principle of a nation boycotting, and in particular I felt that this specific boycott was justified.
So what do you think about the calls to boycott the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing? Should the USA skip the games or not?

Yes.

Summer: Atlanta 1996, Sydney 2000, Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio 2016
Winter: Lillehammer 1994, Nagano 1998, SLC 2002, Turin 2006, Vancouver 2010, Sochi 2014, Pyeongchang 2018

This. First one I remember is Turin...maybe Athens.
First one I remember was 2000, but as it was in the same city as where I live(d) obviously the circumstances were different.

I was born just two days away from being an Olympic Baby. I was born on the 11th, the Athens opening ceremonies were on the 13th.

I was born just two days away from being an Olympic Baby. I was born on the 11th, the Athens opening ceremonies were on the 13th.

That almost happened with one of my kids.  The due date was smack in the middle of the Atlanta Olympics, which had us worried about what traffic might be like going to the hospital, since Atlanta traffic is troublesome even under the best of conditions.  But the baby arrived a couple weeks early, several days before the opening ceremony.

As it turned out, Atlanta roads were exceptionally free of traffic during the Olympics, probably because everyone was scared off and most businesses allowed people to work from home for the duration.  The MARTA trains, however, were packed like sardine cans.
