Those that would limit your choices to the tired and dead two-party allegiances have fired the first shots at our beloved ability to choose our own way and promote our respective passionate beliefs.  Let them know that we will fire back.

If there is a problem with our parties, it is because ever since the end of the Constitutional Union Party, there has not been a representative centrist alternative.  We must have a party that seeks consensus on the issues without compromise on core Atlasian values of social justice, and economic free will.

WE are the majority, but for too long we have lacked the unity that we should desire.  It is largely my fault that the UAC is no longer with us, as I felt at the time that the leadership had drifted too far to the right-wing.  I now realize this was a grave error that caused our dreams of a centrist Atlasia to expire all too quickly.

I have changed my registration from Progressive Conservative to the Party that first proudly carried "Progressive and Conservative" as its motto, the United Atlas Centrists.  I encourage all who seek a home, who seek a united future, to join me.

I used to be in the UAC.  Not so sure it's the party for me now, though.  I think I'd be best staying the SDP.

Should I change my registration to Progressive, or do I prefer the United Left? Smiley
Ah, whatever, the SDP isn't much different from the old UL anyways.

Too sane, dull, and orderly.

Anyone who is insane should ignore this party and join the Lunatic Fringe, where everyone is a M/President and there's no platform!

The old UL was interesting.

The political dicotomy that we had for the past few months anyway was not very stable. We've always had in Atlasia:

Small-Medium sized far left party-large moderate left/social liberal party-large centrist/centre-right party-medium-large conservative party-various other parties

So that's what we should morph back into.

I may join the UAC since the FDP has been dead since it was founded basically.

The UAC didn't actually "fall", it got unceremoniously replaced.

We had problems after the October '04 election, where centrists were split between Nation/King and Hugh/(me).  The Constitutional Union Party was founded shortly thereafter, the UAC kinda fell apart and about two months later most of its members had either joined the CUP or Freedom parties.

At least I don't have a U.S. Senate candidate's logo in my signature who endorsed Lyndon Larouche and praised his 1986 takeover of the Illinois Democratic party.

Us communitarians are pretty much staying put in the CDP, so you can relax and go reform the CUP again. Tongue

An excellent idea. Unfortunately people here have become too mean and politically instable for it to work, I fear.
