Who is the most recent governor and the most recent US Senator, from the opposite party, in your state you would consider FF?

For me:

Last decent GOP Senator from South Dakota:  Larry Pressler (independent-minded person, honest, pro-India foreign policy).

Last decent GOP Governor of South Dakota:  George Mickelson (nice guy, supported Native Americans).

Senator: Charles Potter or Robert Griffin
Governor: William Milliken

It felt like I had to go really far back, but the only people I'm passing over are Snyder, Engler, and Abraham.

Bob Taft is the last not to be some form of lesser evil and/or halfway decent by comparison to others.

Illinois
Governor: Jim Edgar (1991-99)
Senator: Charles Percy (1967-85) (Fitzgerald and Kirk were fine Republicans, but I have to throw a bone to Percy who was a no-doubter FF)

Michigan
Governor: William Milliken (1969-83)
Senator: Robert Paul Griffin (1966-79)
