The Joe Biden/Kamala Harris ticket wins in 2024, defeating the Republican ticket of former President Donald Trump/Governor Ron DeSantis. They won every state they did in 2020 (except NE-02, due tor redistricting) and flipped North Carolina.

In 2028, Kamala Harris wins the Democratic nomination, beating Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and NYC Mayor Eric Adams. She selects Tom Perez, the Governor of Maryland since 2023, as her running mate.

Josh Mandel, the Senator from Ohio since 2023, beats ~25 other Republicans for the nomination, and selects Lauren Boebert as his running mate.

Who wins the election and what does the map look like?

It comes down to 8 years of party fatigue and a young guy from the rust belt "who I could have a beer with" flipping Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Minnesota stays blue in this scenario, its demographics in terms of education are more like New England states.

Josh Mandel is very bad candidate that's why Rs have turned to JD Vance but he still might not bear Ryan, because Ryan and Jackson and Beasley and Fink are strong candidates
