It's not Atlas tier analysts and moderate heroes causing India Walton to loose, it's mostly ordinary residents of buffalo who don't like her agenda and who prefer the corrupt machinations of Bryon Brown to her agenda while also not being political engaged enough to vote in the primary. The fact that is even a competive race should illustrate just how unpopular socialism and the broader left-wing "defund the police" agenda is with the american public

Weird how Ray LOLfield, despite seeing mythical left-wing anti-Semites in his Cheerios every morning, has no response to Brown's campaign spouting anti-Semitism, yet has enough free time in his busy life to recommend this.

As was pointed out above you, there is no evidence that this came from Byron Brown's campaign and I also recommended the post shutting down the disgusting attempt by the guy who thinks the term "Jewish supremacy" is fine and dandy to justify it. But hey, I'm just glad you found some antisemitism you can actually condemn.

Not the campaign itself, but Chris Scanlon is a very outspoken Brown surrogate and ally.

First I've heard of him, but he seems disgusting and needs to be removed from the campaign - and certainly not given any position if Brown wins as seems likely.

Is he a Democrat? I would assume so given his position on the city council, but he sounds like a Trumper and very different from the tone of Brown's campaign.

Yes. A black man that was elected mayor of a large northeastern city in New York State 4 consecutive times as well as winning the Democratic Party primary 4 consecutive times is a Republican.

Any more intelligent insight you wish to add?
Yes, it proves to me that a person like me should never support a Democratic Party.

Democrats are as terrible as Republicans.

This is so hypocrite. How can you even criticize the GOP if you do the same things yourself: spreading disinformation, spreading conspiracy theories, and saying the same kind of sh**t as them.

You act like black politicians aren’t some of the most moderate/conservative ones in the Democratic Party. We regularly win 90% or more of black votes, it’s not like they’re all liberal…

So are you saying black politicians are not welcome in the Democratic Party unless they're liberal, or are you saying he should be disqualified from running in the primary, or are you calling most black politicians DINOs? Or to frame it in terms for the ignorant: how can a guy in a Democratic-majority city that's "A REPUBLICAN" win the Democratic primary 4 consecutive times?

I literally didn’t say that? I’m just pointing out that many politicians (particularly minorities) might actually agree with republicans on several issues but don’t vote republican cause they’re actually openly racist at worst or actively apathetic towards minorities.

FWIW, interesting sidenote in the final hours, some media around Buffalo are now considering write-in candidate Ben Carlisle a candidate (of note) in the race. Having met Ben I can see why voters would like him. Appeals to a small but loud niche of Buffalo voters.

What niche is that if you don’t mind elaborating?

He's a former Dem and Obama voter that's essentially disgruntled by both the left and right since COVID. Mostly liberal on social issues but right-leaning on the economy and COVID topics. I could see some centrist or apolitical folks (not willing to support Brown) writing him in. Not to say he'll surpass 2% though, but if Walton/Brown goes to a razor's edge he could be the variable.

Sounds like a similar dynamic to the very vocal Princess Blanding over in the VA Gov race.

What about Jazz Miles is he expected to get a significant portion of the Buffalo GOP vote? or Has Brown consolidated it.

To be fair, he's more local to Buffalo. You'd have to either be from the city or extremely Online to know who he was before this.

From looking at his bio he's a Democrat but seems like a pretty conservative one, voting against the duty-to-report law.

Jazz pretty much fell off the face of the Earth after an awkward debate performance. He'll get a few dozen votes at best.

Does this stupid s--t have to be posted on every page of the thread?  Jesus.  Both candidates are blue.  You can vote for whoever you want and you'll be voting blue.

More importantly, there is not a Republican in the race.

"Vote Blue no matter who" always had a single intention - to prevent elections from being flipped to the Republicans like happened in 2016.

I'm uniquely unsympathetic to Walton because she had already sought a third-party line, but even if that was the situation, no one on Brown's side would care about the race because there would be no chance of losing it!

Final Prediction is Brown, though polls are being described as relatively lighter-than-expected so far today. Business usually picks up after the work hours, however.

Important note about tonight. It'll be quite clear who wins by way of "Write-In" outnumbering India Walton, though we won't know the specific makeup of "Write-In" for weeks.

With how close the race naturally seems, there's a non-zero chance we get a chaos scenario where Brown + Carlisle + Myles + Misc. Write-Ins > India Walton, though Walton still ends up winning the race.

I would be pretty surprised if Walton came within 10 points

Yeah, early reports are that Walton is heavily behind write-ins. This one might be interesting or it might be over early.

I suspect this race will make primary losers in non-competitive races be a lot less shy about fighting to stay in office. I was kind of surprised Lacy Clay didn't.
