It's official. Controversial San Francisco County District Attorney Chesa Boudin will face a recall election in June.

Boudin, who has faced sharp criticism for releasing repeat offenders who have gone on to commit other crimes, and for mismanagement of the District Attorney's office in San Francisco, has vowed to fight the recall.

Should the recall be successful, Mayor London Breed would get to appoint an interim District Attorney until the 2022 elections.

I think this one passes fairly easily. Unlike other progressive DAs like Larry Krasner, Boudin isn't a reformer. He's a genuine radical who has no problem giving violent criminals a pass. If he didn't exist, the far-right would create him.
