"My fellow Americans,

We ha-ave endured much hardship over the past four years. Over 400,000 of our fellow citizens have not survived due to ne-egligent-ce and incompetence.

But we have endured, and today is the beginning of a new era, an era where world-class health care is available to all Americans, where no pe-er-son has to choose between food and medicine, and where Americans can trust their government to act in their best interests.

For it i-is not the beginning of the end for America, but the beginning of a new chapter in American history. One where America is a leader and role model for developing countries in the fields of education, climate change, welfare, and yes, even health care.
