How would you explain a generally Republican voter who only voted Dem in 2012?

A white male auto worker from Ohio who supported Obama in 2012 for saving the Auto industry in 2009.

An otherwise solidly conservative voter whose #1 issue is humane treatment of dogs?

Someone who is bigoted all-around, but whose anti-Mormon sentiment is stronger than their anti-black sentiment?

Yes.  Whoever these people are, they are concentrated in central Ohio.

I have a few scenarios in mind:

1. Blue Dog Dem from the Northeast who felt that every Dem after Bill Clinton was too liberal, but approved of Obama's handling of Hurricane Sandy. Probably a decent number of these voters live on Staten Island.

2. Normal bellwether voter who was concerned Obama was too liberal, realized Obama was more moderate than anticipated, but later voted for Trump for various reasons.

3.An otherwise archetypical bellwether voter who liked Jon McCain or POWS.

4. A former Bain Capitol, reliably Republican voter who was screwed over by Romney when they worked there.

5. A voter from Darlington County SC or Early County GA. Don't know the specifics though.

Someone who likes to vote for the most "manly" candidate in each race.

Someone from Arkansas who is generally conservative but supports healthcare reform.  Voted for their home state candidate in 92 and 96, then voted for W and McCain in line with their generally conservative views.  Then voted Obama in 2012 in appreciation of his efforts to pass the ACA and was concerned that Romney and GOP would repeal it.  This voter then bought into Trump’s BS about how he wasn’t going to let people die on the streets due to lack of healthcare.  As the ACA survived a GOP trifecta as well as repeated attempts to strike it down in court, the voter figured it was a done deal and voted Trump in 2020.
