Have you ever "attended" church drunk/high?

I put "attended" in quotes because I'm counting Covid online church services too.

Because with those...I have. Drunk was frankly pretty worthless, I just had to constantly keep going to the bathroom. Maybe if it was more fitting music. And high...eh didn't really do much for me. It just felt like watching if I was sleepy.

Granted being drunk might be more fun at an in-person church where I can socially mingle afterwards. Actually come to think of it I did go once like buzzed in like 2012. I drive to church now so unless I get a ride sometime it's not really an option...

The last time I attended a church service of any kind was about six years ago, and I had never tried cannabis at that point in my life for many years, and rarely drank, and still lived with my parents, so the answer is no.

If I felt compelled to go to service again for whatever reason, I'd never show up drunk or high though. Not only do I see that as disrespectful, it should be noted that church isn't work, and I'm not exactly obligated to go. If I had planned to get up early on Sunday but I wake up feeling hungover, or buzzed, or whatever, I'm sleeping in. After all, "the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of the Lord."
