I am initially disposed to support this bill, but this feels like the sort of thing where we would benefit from GM input. I've contacted Peanut about it so hopefully that may be forthcoming if he doesn't have too much on his plate at the moment.

Anyway, I'll wait for Ishan's sponsor advoacy before making any further comments.

I agree with the President-elect that the amount of refugees resettled in Atlasia is too low, and this is a commonsense bill that will increase the number of refugees that resettle in Atlasia.

I will object to the motion in addition to advising against it. Peanut has said that GM input on this bill is forthcoming and I think we would all benefit from knowing exactly what kind of immigration situation we are voting to affect.

Apologies for missing this but do we still want move to a cloture vote here or does the representative wish to withdraw his motion?

Where does the progress of this input stand?

Well, that depends on whether the Senate is willing to wait for Peanut's next publication – he has said this will be part of the next GM update. Don't know when it will arrive though, plus it's been a couple of weeks.

I’ve been getting increasingly worried about Peanut’s activity recently. He’s been great with the work he’s done but it’s not looking good over the past month

Have to agree. A third of the month has passed and we're not in campaign mode. We really need more consistency and engagement here.

I strongly support this bill, it is a compassionate good thing to do and it is a chance for us to show moral leadership.

Has there been any update on this situation as of yet?

From my perspective, I would be keen to know what the tangible objective sought from this level of increase is. I understand the general desire to be more compassionate and such sure, but why is 150,000 the selected number?

Obviously the desire to wait for the GM is the hope that this could be answered as such in that direction, but absent that we could possibly discern that ourselves or at least ascertain the existing need IRL and then make some adjustments for the in game situation.

Peanut has said he will give us his input on this bill as well as the global corporate tax bill.

I don't think this is a bill that requires GM input. As a nation, we need more flexibility than is currently allowed by law. Nothing the GM says about other countries changes this basic fact.
