Opinion of nuclear energy?

Pretty much the one issue that I agreed more with Biden than Sanders on, and I was glad to see the Democrats endorse what was once a very politically toxic (pardon the pun) position to take.

Any plan for clean energy that doesn't include nuclear is a nonstarter, and because it takes decades for nuclear to materialize into something that can appreciably cut down on emissions or replace fossil fuels, we may be past the point of no return, especially since I doubt we'll be seeing any new investments in nuclear over the coming years. When push comes to shove, it's a difficult stance for any politician to take and then justify to an uninformed electorate.

I would love to be wrong about all this, though.
