If elections for "Commissioner" in Major League Baseball were to work the same way presidential elections do, then how would the electoral votes be distributed among all of its markets of fans and sports personell across all continents? Obviously the states and provinces would have their own electoral votes by state/province depending on fan share... but would it be appropriate to also have a higher electoral vote get in places like Japan, Korea, Canada, DR, etc than entire continents like Europe and Africa (probably 3 electoral votes for the entire continent) that does not display much popularity for the game? Curious. What is your take? How would you divide out electoral votes? Which states, provinces, and countries/continents would be the "swing states"?

If Manfred was up as a Democrat, Florida, Pennsylvania, Arizona, California, Ontario, and New York are pretty much all safe Dem imo. Other areas are up for debate.

Most of the markets with MLB teams would be solidly D:
-Boston
-New York
-Baltimore
-Washington
-Chicago
-Los Angeles
-San Francisco+Oakland
-Seattle

Only market that I believe would be solid R is Cincinnati.

What about the Japanese NPB markets or Korean Baseball? Or the greater WBSC global rankings? This would be elected openly by the entire globe as they've also got footprints in places like China, Great Britain, and India too.

Would it be possible in a worldwide election scenario that a complete unknown who wins everywhere else outside of MLB's strongholds (the Minor League/Summer Collegiate smaller markets and lesser popular Baseball areas in the world) could win the seat?

George W. Bush might actually fulfill his "other" dream of being Commissioner of Baseball.

To be fair, he can't be worse than Bud Selig was.
