If not Netanyahu nor Likud can continue the era, Bennet and Shaked will. The Netanyahu era isn’t limited to one man, and the changes put into place are irreversible (edit: in the short term)

I don't disagree with what you are saying, but nor do I think it is the whole story.

Yes, it really can't be overestimated how much right-populists rely on an almost permanent sense of "crisis" to keep their base in line. Of course, this helps explain how the pandemic has often helped not hindered them - despite their often manifest incompetence and corruption.

Is that addressed to Velasco or "Jolly Slugg"? Both of their most recent contributions to this thread are veering close to semantic satiation, although Jolly Slugg is probably the worse offender.

In this case, the latter.

I opened a new thread for this sort of discussion to be housed there. not here. Please stop overcrowding this thread

Seconded, its not as if there's nothing happening in Israel just now.

What’s the view of the Russian-Israeli population on the current conflict and Putin more generally?

From my experience, the war really harmed Putin's image in that community. He used to be very popular because he pushes all the right patriarchal masculine strongman buttons for these people, but now the camp seems split in 3: people who support Ukraine and are very anti-Putin, people who claim that don't support the war but muddy the water by claiming that everything is fake news and we don't know what's actually going on, and people who parrot Kremlin propaganda. I'm not sure what's the size of each camp, but from people I personally know, I'd say the first and second are bigger.

Non-Russian Russian-speakers, like Ukrainian and Belarusian Israelis, are overwhelmingly anti-Putin.

In other words "I'm opposed but - for varying reasons - don't want to actually admit it".

Which is why, ideally, elections need to be put off until Bibi is jailed.
