Carney is super anti-weed, (he's trying to talk the DE legislature down from passing recreational legislation right now) which would probably split the Dem base. He's not really a unifying candidate in the current environment.

Biden's been smart in that he's ambivalent enough that he hasn't p***ed anyone off yet. If he was forced to pick a side in the current environment though, I think he'd have to be more pro-legalisation than against
