SEA is a pretty respectable pollster.

Thank goodness Fried is a stronger candidate than Crist, Crist needs to retire, already

How are either of these people grifters? Florida is Lean R but it's not impossible for Dems.

Perhaps "grifter" is too strong of a word, but they seem to be doing everything possible to make sure they don't win. Two of the worst possible candidates that could be fielded in terms of strength, and they're raking in millions from out-of-state. Money that would better be spent on rebuilding the Florida Democratic Party.

The whole 2022 Florida Gubernatorial Democratic Primary is basically a dog-and-pony show at this point anyway IMHO. Everybody sucks, Florida loses out no matter who wins, it's just a matter of how much.

You are substantially overstating Fried's fundraising totals! She's nowhere close to "millions," at least on her May report.

We'll see how high those numbers become after we get the June numbers.

Remember that Fried only very recently officially started her campaign.

Wasn't even aware Taddeo was in the race. I don't see a path for her at this point as the South Florida constituency won't back her in large enough numbers - she only moved there and I don't think Colombian-Americans have any sort of sway, but you can correct me on that.

Fried was the only Dem to win statewide in 2018. How is she a bad recruit?

*Furious typing*

To keep it short, having a lack of substance, having done nothing in her position that has helped Floridians (seriously she seems to be doing no work and she's had her eye on the governor's mansion since day one). Everything she does is meant to raise her own profile and she doesn't do anything bipartisan other than attacking the governor (and this is a popular governor as per polls and anecdotal evidence). This only serves to make her unpopular.

She also is generally not a strong candidate outside places where it's popular to own the cons without having ideas of your own, and already showed significant weakness among areas the Democrats need in the future (she underperformed among Black and Hispanic voters compared to Gillum (the same scary socialist Gillum who did really badly among Hispanics) if the municipality results I've looked at so far are any indication), she won based on her out performance in Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Parkland, already places that are trending leftward and won't be able to help her for much longer if Hispanic and Black voters shift more Republican.

Her win was a fluke IMHO and her whole campaign is a house of cards just waiting to fall down, and also seems very similar to the 2016 Clinton campaign.

You can disagree if you want (muh electability) but I have doubts on her strength.

I hope Fried gets it.  Why would they keep running the same loser over and over again?

The reason why Crist lost so many times have been in part due to Debbie Wasserman Schultz, she cost Hillary the Prez in 2016, since she hasn't been DNC chair, and sidelined, Gillium almost won and Fried can in fact win

Wasserman was prepping for a DNC Chair in 2014 when Crust lost

Crist has been the Democratic nominee for statewide office only once, and he lost by a point. Let's not overstate things.
