The elections might have happened - I wouldn't say we were robbed necessarily in every one of these cases but they are scenarios that once could have been possible - just going back to 2000 for now
2020 - Bernie Sanders (D) vs. Donald Trump (R)
Biden doesn't run, Bernie gets nomination
2020 - Al Franken (D) vs. Donald Trump (R)
Franken never takes infamous 2006 photo, gets nomination
2016 - Bernie Sanders (D) vs. Donald Trump (R)
Hillary doesn't run, Bernie gets nomination
2012 - Barack Obama (D) vs. Rick Santorum (R)
Romney doesn't run, Santorum gets nomination
2012 - Barack Obama (D) vs. Donald Trump
Romney doesn't run, Trump gets nomination
2008 - Hillary Clinton (D) vs. John McCain (R)
Obama doesn't run, Hillary gets nomination
2004 - Howard Dean (D) vs. George W. Bush (R)
Kerry doesn't run, Dean gets nomination
