At what point did you realize that Trump was going to win North Carolina?

The next day when I woke up and checked the preliminary results after breathing heavily into a brown paper bag.

I didn't pay attention to the election, as hard as it was, on election night and that was probably for the best.

Same here.  I went into election night feeling pretty good, then Florida counted its votes.  I then went to bed in misery, only to feel hopeful again when WI and MI turned (non-Atlas) blue.

Never doubted it. NC has an R+6 lean to begin with that doesn't move and Biden wasn't winning by 6...though I admit Florida was not a reliable R+3 this year, which was my initial gauge.

When it became clear Biden wouldn't get enough absentees/provisionals to overcome Trump.

Same here. Until that point, I was still holding out hope that there were enough remaining ballots for Cunningham (and Biden) to win, since it looked like that was the best chance the Dems had of still winning the Senate.

My biggest mistake last election was being too bullish for Dems in North Carolina and too bearish for Dems in Georgia.

Biden falling below 60% in Forsyth County is what convinced me.

When Biden needed like 75% of remaining ballots to win.

When it became apparent the Charlotte and Triad suburbs hadn't really moved while Trump was still finding voters to flip in the rural east to offset losses in the Triangle.

The NYT forecast needle for NC moved in Trump’s direction fairly early on Election Night and stayed there pretty much the entire time afterwards.
