Cygnal is a relatively good firm, but the poll was commissioned by one of those "independent" SuperPACs:

The PAC said it will independently support Schmidt’s candidacy and called on other
potential candidates not to run for “the good of our state and the Kansas Republican Party.”

Seems like internal junk or an outright fake poll. I don't think Colyer is polling this poorly. He's a former governor, even if an elected one who served for just a year.
