DeSantis is so overrated. Just because he won an election in a somewhat red-leaning state over a weak opponent by a hair.

LOL, DeSantis isn't overrated! Trying to pull off a Statewide Election in a year where Democrats won the House Vote by 8 Percentage Points and losing Governorships like Kansas is an incredible difficult thing to do!

The guy who is tremendously overrated is Mike Pence IMO! He will have a hard time winning the Nomination if Trump doesn't run. Pence brings "Nothing" to the Table!

I agree DeSantis is probably a little overrated, still don't discount him.

When you see the Sen maps thru 2026 the D's are favored and 2022 has wave insurance seats in IA, OH, NC and FL Rs aren't winning anything and with 2028 they won't win then Either

Rs have been losing seats in Congress since 2016

DeSantis was seen as an underdog and far less likely to win than people like Scott Walker or Kris Kobach. I remember 538 had Florida Governor as the likely D shade of blue all year in 2018. To say DeSantis was a shoo-in against weak candidate Andrew Gillum is to rewrite history completely now that we have the power of hindsight. DeSantis's win was one of the most shocking upsets of the night if you exclude some of those random Democratic House flips.

FL taxes are low that's why Rs keep the Gov and state Legislatures, they have no Income tax, if Guilliam was Gov, he would have raised property taxes and sales taxes, that's why Rs win the Gov, he was seen as a tax and spend liberal

There are more D's at the Fed level in FL due to Social Security inflation rate needs to be adjusted to 1200 instead of 1000 each month, Biden promised that do if he breaks Filibuster
