How long would such a government last then given that an election 2008/2009 is probably disastrous for Labour given how far behind they were in polling and may have been even further behind with a coalition government.

A 2007 hung parliament likely results in a Lib-Lab pact, & the resultant 2011/2012 election is obviously the Tories' to lose.
