Democrats almost never care enough about their cronies to primary them out. Only rare upsets (Crowley) or defectors on important issues (Lipinski) get the boot. The Dems also never seem to retire, which is why their entire leadership class in Congress is approaching 80 or older. In general, only the Bernie Bro wing of the party seems to care enough to primary people and put pressure on their incumbents, and even organizations like the Justice Dems have been turned into a joke by supporting people like Neera Tanden.

Blue MAGA only cares about which party you are in and nothing else. They didn't actually care about the things they criticized Trump for. It was just like they were cheering on a sports team with the blue colors.

Wait what? Anyways the right has less trust in government so that's why you see more "fresh faces". most of the dem leadership should retire nonetheless

This also has only 41% saying he should resign. Smile

It's clear that Cuomo has weathered the storm against false and misleading claims. These women engaged with him consensually. They are trying to retroactively declare things non consensual to increase the power of their socialist politician friends, but it's not going to work! Cuomo will be reelected to a fourth term!

How stupid are the people of New York?

Mr. Cuomo deserves removal from office or ousting via primary. Preferably former. It's sad people don't pay attention or just have short attention spans.

Tanden was/is a Clintonite DNC hack. She attacked Sanders and the left flank of the party viciously. But before her name was withdrawn for OMB, the head of Justice Dems, Alexandra Rojas, supported her confirmation.

More broadly, the whole squad stopped standing up to Pelosi on important votes post-2020 when their House majority got diminished and they 'needed' to fall in line.

The squad in 2020: "Defund the police!"
The squad in 2021: "Just enough of us are going to vote present for this $2 billion for capitol police to pass"

The same poll also has this question for a generic opponent:

"If Andrew Cuomo runs for re-election as governor in 2022, as things stand now, would you vote to re-elect Cuomo or would you prefer someone else?"
Prefer someone else 53%
Re-elect Andrew Cuomo 37%
Don't know/no opinion 11%

The other factor in Democratic leadership is that committee spots for Democrats don't have term limits while the GOP does.

I really wish Cuomo would just not run for re-election if he won't resign, but simultaneously I can't blame New Yorkers for being in a Menendez situation.
