A Happy Birthday to the Constitution!

It's quite interesting to think of all that's taken place since the Constitution was finally ratified. In five years  we've seen a twin electoral tie and resulting succession crisis, electoral domination of a single player, a harsh war in East Asia, Labor's death and revival, a varied cast of third parties, whatever the hell the February election was, and now uninterrupted domination under a changing cast of Presidents.

From a personal perspective I wish the reform process had involved amending and not a symbolic replacement of a text which required such unprecedented struggles to become a - reasonably successful - reality, but nothing lasts forever.

(It's hard to describe the precise feeling, but it's also odd to realize I've now spent the majority of my time in Atlasia under our current Constitution.)
