In Washington, it's definitely Matt Shea.

Bob Nonini is the worst from Idaho. Michael Peroutka is the worst from Maryland. Dan Fisher is the worst from Oklahoma. Sheila Butt is the worst from Tennessee. Eric Porterfield is the worst from West Virginia. Steve West is the worst from Missouri. Jan Morgan is the worst from Arkansas.

NY: Elise Stefanik
TX: Lyin Ted (but so many contenders)
MO: Josh Hawley
FL: Matt Gaetz (so many contenders)
GA: MTG (so many contenders)
KY: Moscow Mitch (villain of the century)
WI: Ron Johnson
SC: Lady G
AZ: Lesko
CO: Gardner

NC: All of them
NJ: Van Drew
PA: Perry

I'd say that Gosar is clearly worse than Lesko and Boebert is clearly worse than Gardner. And Louie Gohmert gives Ted Cruz a run for his money. But you're right when you say that there are "so many contenders".

I give people points for being who they are.  Boebert is an insanely horrid person but at least she's authentic unlike Gardner who is a total phony like Little Marco.  Maybe Gosar is worse than Lesko, I didn't give that one much thought.  I heard Lesko told some congresswoman to shut up about masks during the height of the pandemic though, so that made her horrid in my mind.

Honestly, there's just so many atrocious Republicans to choose from in many of these states.  In normal times Martha McSally, who has made an entire career out of being disingenuous and losing senate races would be a clear favorite, but here we are.

I’m gonna go with a hot take and say Loeffler is the worst R in GA. As I’ve said elsewhere, I think Greene has a personality disorder and needs help. I genuinely think she lives in an alternative reality. That’s not to excuse what she’s done but I think she deserves compassion and empathy. Loeffler on the other hand knew exactly what she what she was doing while in office/campaigning and I think that’s worse. This is also why I think McConnell is worse than Trump.

In Louisiana, at the moment: State Senator Beth Mizell, sponsor of the "Fairness in Women's Sports" Act (read: the Pre-Emptive Transphobia Act).

you can't be the worst if no one knows who you are and you have no effect

Loeffler isn’t the worst (or even in the top three) even if you exclude MTG. There’s Doug Collins, Paul Broun, and Jody Hice. Excluding MTG, Broun is the worst.

Easy answer: all of them.

For my state in particular though, it's a tossup between Jeff Van Drew and Hirsch Singh.

I'm assuming "Trump's Dog" is Lindsey Graham, and you're counting Tulsi Gabbard as a Republican? Why so? If Hawaii had genuine two-party competition, though, she probably would be a Republican at this point.

For California, I'd probably nominate Michelle Steele for her leadership role among the anti-mask/lockdown contingent in OC + her homophobia which puts Young Kim to shame.

One that's more Sacramento-based would be State Sen. Shannon Grove, who was recently replaced as Senate Minority Leader due to blaming the Capitol Riots on Antifa. She also blamed California's water problems on the state's support of abortion rights.

Patrick Little is the worst California Republican. He tried to fly a blimp with an antisemitic message at a San Francisco Giants baseball game at Oracle Park so that the blimp would appear on television, but the blimp failed to fly.

For Wisconsin it’s clearly Robin Vos. He does much more damage back on the home front then anyone nationally.

Barry Moore (no relation to Roy Moore) is the second worst Republican from Alabama. Both Republicans named Moore make Mo Brooks look like a Humboldt County, California Democrat.

Since you never said Republican officeholders, there has to be at least one murderer/rapist/pedo registered as a member of the Republican (and Democratic) party.

There are far worse Republicans ideologically in the state of Maryland than Fat Larry, but he has no recent parallel in terms of material harm caused, so he has to be my vote.
