Yeah, ok. I am pulling for Laffey because I just don't care but to say that he is up this much is insane. He's going to lose anyway although it will be a  close race.

You don't care about losing another Senate seat?

I don't see him voting for our candidate for leader anyway so what does it matter? If it comes down to a one seat majority, Chafee is the next Jeffords. Plus, I think he'll lose the seat anyway. Whitehouse can demolish Chafee and he'll give Laffey a pounding, too (if he somehow gets the nomination) but at least we'll be losing with someone closer to us than someone we've had to kiss up to for years.

Anyone else think that Chafee will endorse Whitehouse when he loses the primary? He certainly agrees with him more than he agrees with Laffey.
