I think they polled this one before the primary to account for the independents, they didn't use independents in the last one.

What a pointless poll.

pretty pointless, agreed though I am happy to see this big of a lead (though I think it is closer than that, probably a 7 or so point race right now)

Why is it pointless?

They just polled the race. They didn't need to do it again. If it was another polling firm then that would be cool but we didn't need another SurveyUSA poll on this race now.

Not totally useless.  My guess would be that they polled again because they had such a weird first result, which they wanted to confirm.

It isn't weird they were just polling for the independents to be included.

They released a poll without independents? That's completely worthless!

Wait, do they mean they didn't include independent voters or they didn't include independent candidates?

My favourite part about this poll is how Robin Adair, a candidate who has literally done nothing but filed - no one knows who he or she is - is pulling just as much as the high-profile Green Party guy.

I meant independent candidates.

Well, I don't see why they didn't just do them as one poll.  Are you sure that this is a new, different poll, and not the already released one, but with independents?  If it is, they should not be separately listed.

For what it's worth, independents aren't going to hit 9%.

News has come out that McGavick understated his DUI.  Apparently, he ran straight through a red light, not skimmed a yellow (something which one could argue that he could have forgot) and was handcuffed and arrested, not cited (which couldn't).

Smart timing, though.  Labor Day weekend.

EDIT: I withdraw my independents-can't-get-9% comment.  A decent Libertarian showing (3-4%) plus a good Green Showing (4-6%) plus whatever Robin Adair will get (probably around 1%) could very easily make 9%, even if I think it's unlikely.
