I definitely see a lot of myself in Kerouac, even though we would've been political opposites at the time.

Fun fact: of the people listed on this poll, Ferlinghetti is the only one still alive (just read that he died this past February at age 101 Cry ). RIP

It's a shame Keruoac later turned into an apologist for US imperialism.

So I'll go with Neal Cassady because by all accounts he was a hilarious person who you'd want to party with.
