Frankly, Democrats should be jumping for joy and hoping it happens even more in the future.

A big part of the reason they say the Senate and Electoral College are bIaSed is that they run up the score in safely blue states, California being the number one example. Also, people on here and Twitter were bragging about how Biden got the best performance in Maryland and Massachusetts. WHO THE EVERLOVING F**K CARES??? IT DOESN'T DO ANY GOOD. Imagine if he'd gotten that same swing in North Carolina or Florida. Or another state that's currently deep red, but could be a future target.

Two-party competition is a good thing. Polarization is how you get a repeat of January 6th.

I live in Alameda county (across the bay) which also shifted slightly to the right in 2020. Trump attracted more Hispanic and Asian voters in this area, while whites shifted more to the left.

Trump only managed to improve 3.5 points on his 2016 performance at the same time that Biden also managed to register the highest Democratic vote share ever in the city. Asians swung rightward, but you could have already gleaned that from other areas throughout the country.

There isn't much in the way of noteworthy takeaways, really.

I am amazed how, just across the bay, in Oakland, the margins have been so consistent, within one-half of one percent of each other in the last four elections.
