Do you put pronouns (he/him, she/her, etc) in the bio of your social media accounts or maybe even in the username or handle themselves? If not, do you put them anywhere else where you might have a public profile?

I don't have social media accounts, but if I did, I wouldn't. I won't be upset if somebody misgenders me.

Social media is a useless affair.

I do, despite being a cisgender male. It's not out of fear of being misgendered, I don't mind that much, it's to show solidarity with trans people and normalize the use of pronouns in that manner.

I don't have social media but I wouldn't use pronouns in my bio anyway.  Except maybe ironic, weird ones.  Ze, zum, zop or something.

If somebody mistook me for a chick it's my own fault for not being macho enough. 💪

No. I also don't plan on having them and I have only seen like 1 person ever with pronouns in a bio. I certainly hope this does not get imported.

Yes, my pronouns (he/him) are in my LinkedIn bio. It's practically harmless and polite to do so.

On twitter, yes. As a way of normalizing the idea that it’s ok to ask someone (or check their bio) before assuming their pronouns. If it helps someone feel less ostracized, then I’m all for it.

I don't use social media. The only pronouns I am interested in normalizing are thou/thee.

No. It's a stupid expectation people these days have.

I’m obviously going to assume someone’s pronouns if I meet them in person... I’m not going to ask every person what their pronouns are before I refer to them. That’s a waste of time given that 99%+ people go by he/him or she/her. I’ll correct myself if they request that I use a different set of pronouns

No. Everyone on Facebook knows I'm male (it even has a "gender" field in the info section anyway) and even if someone misgendered me on Twitter I wouldn't give a sh!t. I'd just laugh probably.

That’s fine, as long as you’re polite about it. I just think people should have the option to put that information out there before it’s assumed. It doesn’t hurt anyone to have pronouns in your bio.

I want to put something like ze/her/theirs and then when someone gets it wrong I get to call them transphobic
