I think we will need to amend this to include funds allocated by the MERAMEC Act, but otherwise is there any other area of substantive discussion to be had? We need to move soon if we want this bill passed before the end of the session.

Repeating this concern

Data Source: https://www.irs.gov/statistics/soi-tax-stats-historic-table-2

The Family Opportunity Fund brings us (2018 data, 2019 not available yet):
~$5.17 Billion from Alabama
~$3.18 Billion from Arkansas
~$1.46 Billion from Delaware
~$2.13 Billion from District of Columbia
~$39.45 Billion from Florida
~$14.63 Billion from Georgia
~$4.17 Billion from Kansas
~$4.68 Billion from Kentucky
~$5.93 Billion from Louisiana
~$12.45 Billion from Maryland
~$2.31 Billion from Mississippi
~$8.11 Billion from Missouri
~$13.75 Billion from North Carolina
~$2.81 Billion from Oklahoma
~$6.04 Billion from South Carolina
~$7.12 Billion from Tennessee
~$46.05 Billion from Texas
~$16.54 Billion from Virginia
~$1.53 Billion from West Virginia
~$120 Million from Puerto Rico

Total from United States: $197.6 Billion

I will recalculate this next week just in case I made any errors this time around

This excludes England and Wales and was calculated only using income data from those who filed their tax returns in 2018 (probably includes most people who actually are above the $75K tax bracket so I don't think we're missing out too many).

According to diptheriadan, the program was supposed to cost approx. $145.926 Billion a year.

IRL there are a massive amount of Millionaires, Billionaires, and high-income taxpayers in Virginia, Florida, Texas, GA, NC, and MD which covered most of the cost. As an example, in Florida alone there were 43,880 tax filers above the $1M income bracket who made a massive Adjusted Gross Income of $171 Billion combined

9.5% of that bags $16.23 Billion, and this is just the top bracket of one state

I'm thinking it'd be feasible even to possibly lower the middle bracket tax to 5 - 6% or so.

Great work calculating this. England and Wales should be excluded since they aren't really part of the South as the Common Market Agreement basically functions as a free trade agreement that allows players to be registered to vote there for the sake of the maps.

I did my own estimate on the cost of the Family Opportunity Fund and allocated 150 billion in the budget draft I proposed. I didn't notice Diptheriadan's calculation which I think is more accurate.

The other two pieces of new revenue are the gas tax increase that brings in $20 billion and $65 million respectively. Total new spending from 2020 totals at around $163 billion. 197+20 is $217 billion. This means we increase our surplus by around $54 billion and when added to the reserves from last year's budget we get roughly $91 billion.

The next thing in order will be to calculate the total revenue from income taxes that already exist at the state levels. I think it is best for us to consolidate those rates by finding an average of statewide tax rates with those of the Family Opportunity Fund into a single set of regional tax brackets that are paid into.

Sorry for the inactivity

https://www.usgovernmentrevenue.com/compare_state_revenue_2021m10a (same website Encke used)

$125,735.7 Billion in income taxes on the state and local levels (exc. Puerto Rico)

Also, I'll add the new budgetary requirements from the newly passed acts as soon as they're passed for this session. We should quickly move on and have this ready before term end.

Also there is potential for the DamN it Act and Anti-Prostitution Act to be passed, both of which will have effects. Immediately after those get passed we should move for the final vote.

I'm not even gonna recalculate the Family Opportunity Fund. But I'll round it down just to be on the safe side.

We're nineteen days late.
