Opinion of the guy who coaches an overrated college basketball team that hasn’t won a national championship despite being favored to win at least one.

Freedom Coach but he needs to win a title.  That said, who even knew Gonzaga existed until their basketball program gained some notoriety?

Mark Few’s a choad. I doubt he wins a title at Gonzaga.

You're talking to someone who has Jeff Capel as his head coach, who took over for that slug, Kevin Stallings.  Yeah, no, I'll take Few any day.

62 percent chance of having a title and not having one isn't as big an issue as it sounds. No favorite ever has a 50 percent chance going into a single tournament so it's not a surprise in basketball when the favourite doesn't win six straight games. It would be a problem if he weren't coaching in a mid-major conference.

That being said, the next coaches without a championship that could/should aren't exactly respected as greats like he sometimes is:

Thad Matta 52 percent
Ben Howland 40 percent
Bob Huggins 36 percent (since 2000)
Bo Ryan 36 percent
Bruce Weber 35 percent

After that, you got Sean Miller, Rick Barnes, Jamie Dixon .

It's a mixed bag of nearly champs (Ryan and Weber), second tier coaches (Huggins) and mostly some laughing stocks. Tend to think Few belongs in bucket 2 with opportunity to change that reputation overnight as one of the greats with a single championship. Lot of time left.
