Do they tend to deny the genocide the Ottoman Empire was responsible for? I correctly refer to it as the Armenian, Greek, and Assyrian genocide.

They usually are deniers. In China, tankies love cops.

Erdogan/Turkey is not on the tankies list of government they support, in fact as a American "ally" it's used as example of the kind of government USA support. This mean that these genocides have been a way to attack USA. Of course with the shift in USA to recognise the Armenian Genocide the tankies may reposition themselves or they may simply look at Erdogan and decide he's not a hill worth dying on. Erdogan in general fall outside the kind of strongmen tankies tend to like. They tend to like socialist, third worldist and authoritarian secular anti-western nationalists strongmen, they tend not to like religious strongmen or openly economic right wing strongmen. Of course this very much depend on style over substance, Assad as example pushed economic liberalizations and closer relationship with the west before the civil war, but his branding was much more secular nationalist and anti-western.

They will reposition themselves and be pro-Erdogan.

Whether it is US allied or not, Turkey is not a self-proclaimed communist state like China or the old USSR.

Tankies support Hamas and Ali Khamenei, who are extreme far-right conservative ultranationalists.

Tankies tend to be communism apologists, I don’t think they give much thought to Ottoman atrocities. Also basically everyone in Turkey denies Ottoman atrocities.

The Internet definition is still relevant though. The original definition hasn't been for decades.

The internet definition is whoever you disagree with on the principles of providing free healthcare and housing. It’s hardly useful

No it has nothing to do with those things but things like apologism for the regimes in Venezuela, China and even North Korea.
