Best results I've gotten so far on Trump/Obama on Normal.

I ran as Rockefeller in 1964 on a center-right platform that touted "my" good governance in New York, anti-poverty programs created during my governorship that weren't as inflationary as Great Society programs, some generic anti-corruption stuff wrt Bobby Baker, moderate hawkishness regarding the Cold War, and a fairly moderate position on civil rights (supporting CRA but being anti-crime and drugs)

Governor Thomas E. Dewey (R-NY)/Senator Arthur Vandenberg (R-MI): 267 electoral votes/23,264,331 votes (48.5%)
President Franklin D. Roosevelt (D-NY)/Senator Harry S. Truman (D-MO): 264 electoral votes/24,461,380 votes (50.9%)

Played Dewey on normal, picked Vandenberg, picked a variety of answers, moderate conservative on economics, tough on Communism, pro-unconditional surrender but kind of isolationist on some questions. New Hampshire was the tipping point state, won it by 211 votes.

They're STILL adding new things to the base game too. They just added the ability to view the rough popular vote at any time with the simple click of a button which is a feature I always wished the game had!

Oh, and there's a secret ending that will now play at the end of any mode you choose if you decide to use the spacebar cheat at any point that basically tells you off for using the cheat all the while this music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1-RyLUQUrA is playing.

Won as Curtis/Borah in 1932 on normal, ran as a moderate progressive, protectionist but not too much, isolationist, against prohibition.

Vice President Charles Curtis (R-KS)/Senator William Borah (R-ID): 309 electoral votes/19,931,748 votes (49.9%)
Fmr. Secretary of War Newton Baker (D-OH)/Governor Albert Ritchie (D-MD): 222 electoral votes/18,994,409 votes (47.5%)

Which difficulty? I've never won a Mondale on normal and I'm assuming this is not that.

Well I didn't expect to do this well. Came within 0.2% of winning West Virginia.

Played as Wallace in 1972 and picked Jackson. Ran more like Jimmy Carter would have on racial issues rather than Wallace and nearly managed to win

New feature I noticed got added. There's an electoral vote estimate that will tell you how many electoral votes each candidates have based on the leads of each state at the time.

Also, another new feature got added to where if you choose to watch the states fill out on election night instead of skipping directly to the results, alongside the electoral vote it'll also give you a popular vote progression.

With apologies to the memory of Bob Dole, won this big, beautiful 413 EV map as Clinton in '96, and just cracked 50% in the popular vote too. I ran mostly moderate, occasionally threw some red meat to the base, attacked congress whenever I could and didn't make Bill Clinton Tetris.

Connecticut and Rhode Island seems like they’d be switched but maybe they were different states in that era.
