I don't think it was a racial attack for the original attack, but whatever everyone can choose their narrative Smiley
Also the crime is alleged, sorry about that. Overall just a really weird story.

Basically there was an argument, and it is alleged some Latina woman attacked the Asian woman. She called the cops who arrested her after they saw she had a warrant for something else. After she was handcuffed she did resist arrest and one cop punched her in the face twice. However the other cop nearby stopped him from doing this.

Don't use the word latinx, also probably not the best to racialize everything

OK why the f[inks] are we using "that word" especially since the individual in question is also IDed as a woman and thus clearly is described by "Latina"?

Well this thread took a weird turn

If there’s any lesson to be learned from this story, is that American oppression is multi-layered and complex, but very much interconnected. In order to uplift the people from injustice, all oppression must be tackled simultaneously.

Ummmm, did you just assume their gender? Biological sex doesn’t equal gender, sweaty.

People are not “cray” in a vacumn. There are many multi-faceted, complex reasons for being cray. However, the general overarching theme is that the mode of production known as capitalism exacerbates or blocks alleviations to the cray.

The world pre-1850: famously crime-free.

This feels like the bit in that “sometimes things that are expensive are worse” video where the character adds “the one who wasn’t Asian was black” for no reason and it sidetracks the whole conversation.
