Yes because what the hell is "blue lives" anyways? When somebody commits an offense against a police officer, every lever of the law is used to bring that person to justice.

No.

Just stupid. 'Blue Lives'...

You don't shoot out the womb with cuffs, badge and a gun.

Though maybe you do in the States.

If someone said “Muslim lives matter” in response to the concentration camps in East Turkestan, would you really say, “That’s stupid. you don’t shoot out the womb praising Allah”?

Of course not. Just because a certain quality is a choice, doesn’t mean you can’t advocate for people with that quality.

It's not a racist slogan inherently, but a lot of its usage comes from racists.

You're talking nonsense. When a police is killed or injured on the job by a member of the public or criminal suspect there is no political movement that doesn't support cops. Cops have benefits and laws just to protect them. Any prosecutor no matter their party prosecutes these cases to the fullest extent of the law.

Not necessarily.
The problem I have with it, is that this slogan is best known as "Black Lives Matter."
Everyone else should not try to "take this away" from this cause. (Don't try to "steal" it and change a word to include "Blue" or "All.")
If you support a different group, come-up with something original , and not try to copy/alter something that was already done.
Don't try to take the significance away from the important cause/slogan, another group has already created.

Why do people constantly post this? As I've said many times before, he's not going to pay attention to this, and never has.

He actually revels in it, but people don’t get it. Predictable, but unfortunate.

It was a mob of Republicans who beat, crushed, and pepper sprayed police officers not so long ago.

The slogan in itself isn't particularly racist, however the context and the people who use it are

This. Most people who use it do so to deliberately prevent conversations around police reform and to dismiss the failure of society in general - and the police in particular - to properly value the lives of black people. Hard not to view that sort of usage as troublingly racially insensitive *at best*, and outright racist at worst.

Aside from in cartoons, I've barely ever seen a police officer in blue.

Given:

1) the phrase only exists as a retort against BLM
2) the context/meaning of the phrase hasn't changed since its inception
3) there is no endemic institutional bias in this country working against law enforcement

Yes. Who the hell are the half of posters voting no?
