Fascinating analysis.

Essentially those on the left show less agreement with antisemitic tropes as those on the right and the e n l i g h t e n e d  c e n t r e and 18-30 year olds much less so than the 'olds' on the left but much more alarmingly so on the right.

Thanks for sharing, this feels really important right now.

Reading about QAnon over the last year, I've been reminded just how intrinsic antisemitism seems to be to conspiratorial thinking. Regardless from which position on the ideological spectrum new recruits come, they seem to inevitably end up spouting centuries old tropes about cabals, the Rothschilds and blood libel. It's horrifying how consistent the association has become.

The root of antisemitism may differ between the left and right (neonazism, support for the Nation of Islam, concerns about Israel run into a psychotic frenzy etc etc etc), but the fruits are the same. Understanding where that instinct comes from, and halting it, in both ideological camps, feels more important than ever.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission disagrees. But that sick old madman is thankfully no longer a relevant threat to the safety of Jews worldwide since his much-deserved removal from leadership.

There is basically no antisemitism on the left. Farrakhan, Israelites etc aren't left wing despite what the media says and Corbynism isn't antisemitic. Tlaib also is not antisemitic. So who are you referring to?

There are several things to note here. There was nothing here about bougie stereotypes which is where left-wing antisemitism springs from. The secret cabal/conspiracy theory type stuff that was covered in the survey is more alligned with right wing antisemitism. There are many more manifestations of antisemitism than the three things they covered in this survey.

There is also what people are willing to say in public. Liberals may say they don't view Jews as more loyal to Israel when directly asked about it to be PC, but their going ape**** anytime a Jewish celebrity or political figure says something even remotely positive or even just not negative about Israel says otherwise.

So you're saying the Equality and Human Rights Commission is secretly controlled by a cabal of zionists who are using to push the "Jewish Agenda"?

Posting something like that while arguing people on the left aren't antisemitic is pretty lacking in self awareness dude.

Perhaps not, but anti-Semites think he is, and he's a fan of theirs.

Oh, he knows exactly what he's saying.

"There is no antisemtism on the left. The only ones who think there is are part of the sinister right-wing zionist cabal."

Fundamentally anti-Semitism is the original conspiracy theory, the one that underlies all the rest. If you believe (as right-wing media now insists on your believing) that an international corporate Marxist cabal runs everything, you've already checked off all the stereotypes so it hardly makes sense not to believe that the Jews are responsible. Given that the relationship between right-wing media and observable reality is just as tenuous now as it was when The Protocols of the Elders of Zion were new, it seems inevitable in retrospect.

He once sat next to a Jewish Holocaust survivor who was critical of the Israeli government. Clearly he's worse than Hitler.
