I un-ironically enjoy their music, especially from their ZooTV era.   Kinda like glam mixed with New Wave.

Bono would be on my candidate list for Prime Minister of the World.

Also, U2 has some music I enjoy, but others I don't.

He's ok, but I tend to prefer the more "alternative" singers of the era like Morrissey and Robert Smith, despite their never-ending feud.

...oh, you mean politically. To me, Bono represents all that is wrong with modern, "nice" social liberalism. The fact that he's friends with the Bushes and Clintons tells you all you need to know about his political views. Say what you want about contemporary Morrissey's unpleasantness, but I could never see Bono writing a song like "Margaret on the Guillotine".
