Rip FF. He helped shape the modern role of the office of the Vice President.

Quote
Walter Mondale, who transformed the role of U.S. vice president while serving under Jimmy Carter and was the Democratic nominee for president in 1984, died Monday at 93, according to a family spokesperson.

Rest In Peace to an FF. The right choice in 1984, the heir of the great legacy of Hubert Humphrey, and a good man and a great VP! RIP.

RIP

Crazy (in a very good way) that Jimmy Carter’s still here though. Yet another presidential nominee who ran after him, and was younger than him, who he’s outlived.

Very sad news to see. Mondale's death comes a decade after that of his 1984 running mate, Geraldine Ferraro, and nearly 16 years after that of Ronald Reagan.

A man who redefined the Vice Presidency. Far better, as a person and as a politician, than most of his opponents.

He was a titan if Minnesota progressivism and it’s a modern American tragedy that history will mostly remember him for being the guy Reagan beat in a 49/50 state landslide

The first person I ever cast a Senate vote for. RIP FF.

I still can't believe that he didn't win that 2002 Senate race to replace Paul Wellstone. That result definitely deprived us of what would've surely been an amazing 2nd chapter.

The last Democratic nominee that truly represented the working man. The 1984 general election & 2002 MN senate election results were a disgrace.
