Yes cause it’s a disgrace

Care to explain, you know, why exactly?

Extra points for actually constructing an argument Beyond simply linking some article from a conservative publication.

The project got one fact wrong, exaggerating the percentage of Founding Fathers who had preserving slavery as a motivation for wanting Independence. The author has acknowledged this and all materials have been updated to remove the error.

This isn't uncommon at all in history projects, but OSR just can't bring himself to forgive for it. It's his defining character trait- he makes up his mind immediately on everything, and then absolutely will not consider changing it, no matter what the new information is.

So, are there any problems with the 1619 project other than that one fact being wrong?

My quoted post above links to two critiques.

The idea that it is disliked because it got "one fact" wrong is absolutely ridiculous. No one has made a real effort to defend the project on any of the occasions when the topic has come up on this forum.

Maybe for you, but that's the only tangible criticism OSR has ever given.
